Meet Jason
All my life, if I have free time (or even if I don’t) I’m fishing.
I was introduced to the sport sore-lipping crappie and catfish, but it wasn’t until I started bass fishing in my early teens that my passion truly took off. Ever since, I’ve been steadily working my way up to becoming a professional angler.
I started fishing night tournaments and club tournaments in the mid ‘90s, eventually graduating into weekend derbies. I won my first noteworthy tournament in 2003 – The Bass Federation Regional on Wheeler Lake – and I followed that up with a team championship in 2004 on the Ohio River.
Earning a birth and fishing The Bass Federation National Championship in 2005 prompted my next step up the ladder, as soon after I began fishing FLW Bass Fishing League and Rayovac events. In fact, prior to becoming a full-time angler in 2011, I used to schedule sales trips in correlation with Rayovac events so I could more practice.
Finally, I reached my ultimate goal in 2014, when I competed on the FLW Tour. I earned a pair of Top-10 finishes, was crowned FLW Tour Rookie of the Year. I also finished 21st in the standings earning a trip to the 2014 Forrest Wood Cup in Murray, SC.
